Meat Loaf Jesus is a coming of age story tackling the themes of innocence, homosexuality, religion, and classic rock.
La Luna Productions originally commissioned Meat Loaf Jesus as a one-man show in 2007. It starred actor Omari Newton and was directed by the late Lorena Gale. Ironically he was unable to see the production as he was in Japan.

"My grandfather was an opera singer for most of his life. It is through him, I guess, that I get my love of the arts." Mr. Rumph remembers, "He was able to see it and the last conversation I had with him was about this show. He told me he loved it and that meant the world to me."

Tuesday, September 9
Fountainhead Pub,
1025 Davie St,

What parts of our identity can we bring into political life without compromising our viability as candidates?

Trish Kelly's clipped political run for Vancouver's parks board has prompted questions about what forms of art and activism are acceptable for potential politicians — and what's still too risky a reminder of the sexual side of our sexual orientation.

Join Xtra for a community discussion with local personalities and politicians as they talk frankly about their perceptions of public life and electability.
