Celebrities Night Club wants to help and will do what we do best; host a party on Wednesday May 21, 2008 to fundraise for the 1.5 million people that are facing hunger, needing medical attention, and have no shelter.   With a minimum Donation of $5 at the door, you too can join in the Relief effort to help assist those in need.  100% of the donations taken from the cover charge will go toward the Myanmar Relief Effort. 

Join in with Superstar DJ Zach Shore as he spins vocal house music & videos, dance with Go Go Boys, plus many more entertainers that are coming together to host a night to fundraise for those in need.

2008 CruiseyT Kick Off
Sunday May 25 , 4-8pm
2008 CruiseyT Kick Off its 2008 season on board Vancouver’s Largest Charter Vessel the MV Britannia for a 4 hour tour through the Vancouver Harbour entertaining over 500 party goers.  On board you not only experience the great people you meet and the spectacular scenery.  You dance to Vancouver’s Superstar DJ Zach Shore which has been playing on CruiseyT for 6 years, he also is a resident DJ at Vancouver’s Landmark of the Gay Night Life Celebrities Night Club.  CruiseyT also has Vancouver’s acclaimed Drag Diva’s Joan-E & Carlotta Gurl (they have a regular show at the Majestic Lounge), performance by Jerome Mandrakes Affirmation.  The vessel is equipped with three levels, and two dance floors.  Two bars to serve you, plus there is an on board BBQ you can take advantage of!

Tickets for CruiseyT are $25 and can be purchased on line at www.cruiseyt.com, or at Priape or Little Sisters (both located on Davie Street).  The Cruise will board at 3:30 at #1 Denman Street at Harbour Cruises.  We depart at 4pm for a 4 hour sailing.

KRAZY! The Delirious World of Anime + Comics + Video Games + Art
May 17 to September 7, 2008

Krazy! The Delirious World Of Anime + Comics + Video Games + Art is the first exhibition of its kind, a groundbreaking project that offers unique and dynamic insight into the world of comics, animated cartoons, anime, manga, graphic novels, computer/video games and visual art. Spanning a century of artmaking, the works in this exhibition reveal an extraordinary history of production, one that is poised to redefine the scope of visual culture in the 21st century.

With outstanding examples of original sketches, notes, concept drawings, final production drawings, animation cells, three-dimensional models and published works, KRAZY! Promises a rare insight into the mind and method of some of the finest artists at work today. With generous support from Vancouver Foundation.

The exhibition is organized by the Vancouver Art Gallery with co-curators Bruce Grenville, Tim Johnson, Kiyoshi Kusumi, Art Spiegelman, Seth, Will Wright, Toshiya Ueno and exhibition design by Atelier Bow Wow.

Canadian Women Modernists: The Dialogue with Emily Carr
