John Ferrie "Stay True"
Thursday, May 24th through Sunday May 27th
Main Space Gallery, 350 East 2nd Ave.

I have been highly productive this winter and spring and have painted a new collection of paintings titled "Stay True". The title comes from an inspiring boxing reference as a definition of style. I thought this an appropriate title as I have stayed true to being an artist my entire life. 22 paintings each 36" x 36" make up this unique and exciting series. I have zero'd in on some interesting architectural shapes and captured some dynamic landscapes that make up these paintings. All painted in my whimsical style with colours dialled up to potent effect. Opening reception will be Friday, May 25th from 6-9 pm with an artist talk at 7 pm.

“PROBABILITY” : rEvolver Theatre Festival 2018
May 24-27, 2018
The Cultch - Historic Theatre, 1895 Venables St.

Probability, is a text-based play, supported by a multimedia design concept of digital projections and shadow play and a multidisciplinary directorial style of text and movement. It is a story about the space in between certainty, the odds and impossibility of any romantic encounter. Revolving around the Ripple Effect theme in life. Two women meet “after midnight on a quiet Tuesday night” and play out the five probable paths in which their relationship could venture down. Looping back to the beginning after each probable path dissolves. In the end, do they ever meet? Should they ever meet? Tickets: $15-$20 ONLINE
