Vancouver was the host city for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, with official events taking place in Vancouver, Richmond, and the nearby alpine resort, Whistler. These world-class sporting events took place in the months of February and March 2010, and include athletes and supporters from around the world.
