Granville Island is a unique, highly recommended part of the Vancouver experience within easy access of the downtown core and the Davie Village. You can also use this fascinating urban oasis as a base from which to explore the rest of the city, as it is home to a major hotel, theatres, numerous one-of-a-kind galleries, large public market, restaurants, pubs, buskers, fantastic scenery and more.

Getting to and from the Island can be a fun and scenic experience in it’s own right via the colourful rainbow Aquabus Ferries, by car via the Granville Street bridge, by public transportation or hop aboard one the Vancouver Trolleys that makes Granville Island a popular stop on their itinerary.

We invite you to explore this exciting destination within a destination where you can relax, enjoy or easily find that special something to remind you of your visit to Vancouver for years to come.

Rogers’ Chocolates is offering three versions of its 25-piece calendar this year—two in milk chocolate and one in dark.  Victoria artist, Cathie Hahnel’s depiction of the company’s heritage store on Government Street in Victoria is a perennial favourite, while renowned artist, Ted Harrison’s image of Santa in the Northwest Territories is a charming example of the work for which Victoria-based Harrison is known.  For the child in all of us, Vancouver artist, Barb Wood’s harbour scene is also a fun, ‘seek and find’ game.

Rogers’ Chocolates advent calendars retail for $12.99 and are available at Rogers’ retail stores in Vancouver, Victoria and Whistler, through the company’s website, by calling its mail order department for shipping worldwide at 1-800-663-2220, and through its retail partners in Canada and the United States (see website for partner locations).

The first Rogers’ chocolates were made in 1885 by Charles “Candy” Rogers in the back of his grocery shop in Victoria, B.C. In recent years, as interest in premium chocolate has grown, so has Rogers’ Chocolates. The company now has more than 130 employees, 10 company-owned stores, several hundred retailers in Canada and the United States that market its products, and a 23,000-square-foot factory in Saanich, B.C.  More information on Rogers’ Chocolates can be found at www.rogerschocolates.com.
