VANCOUVER PRIDE

As we head in to the peak of the Vancouver Pride festivities in Vancouver, the streets are colourful and vibrant, the bars, pubs and clubs and pubs are packed, Davie Street is dressing up for the Davie Street Party Friday night, special events galore are on the calendar, people are finalizing the agenda for the weekend, picking out their viewing spot for the Pride Parade on Sunday, deciding on that special outfit to wear on their choice of Pride cruises, and just gearing up for a great time! CRUISES

Vancouver offers a series of LGBT specific cruises with specialty themes all summer long. Women can kick off Pride Weekend Friday night with a choice of cruises, whether on the Chicks Ahoy Boat Cruise on the Queen of Diamonds, or the Hot & Wet Women’s Pride Cruise aboard the M.V. Britannia. A great mix of everyone, but predominantly men cruise the waters Sunday on the CruiseyT Pride White Party Cruise aboard the M.V. Princess, or the Go-Go Cruise aboard the M.V. Britannia. All cruises include special guest DJ’s, full bar service, and some include special guest performances by local entertainers, female impersonators, and very reasonable dinner options. Vancouver celebrates the 22nd annual Queer Film Festival August 12-22, 2010, featuring 90 amazing films from a dozen countries.
